98WINEs Terroir is a contemporary winery facility located in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, completed in 2018. Designed by architect Sakano Yumiko of S PLUS ONE, this innovative structure seamlessly integrates wine production with community engagement. The building functions as both a functional winery and accessible commercial space, embodying the philosophy of opening regional architecture to the public. Its design thoughtfully balances industrial production requirements with hospitality, creating an inviting environment where visitors can experience the winemaking process while the facility maintains its operational efficiency as a working factory and storage space.
