Kankakukukan Umi no Ie is a park facility located on Zaimokuza Beach in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. Completed in 2006, this structure was designed by students from Kanto Gakuin University's Department of Architecture as part of their Design Studio 1 course. The building exemplifies contemporary Japanese architectural education through its innovative approach to seaside design. This project demonstrates how academic design studios can produce functional public facilities that integrate seamlessly with natural coastal environments while serving the local community's recreational needs.
