The Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture Campus Redevelopment Phase One represents a contemporary approach to educational architecture. Completed in 2019, this project was designed by Ishihara Kenya and Nishi Tsukasa of Deneférs on Design. Located in Oita City, the campus redesign thoughtfully integrates academic spaces while respecting the natural landscape of the Uenookadai area. The architects created flexible learning environments that foster creativity and cultural exchange, essential for an institution dedicated to arts and culture. This phase one development establishes a foundation for future campus growth while establishing a distinctive architectural identity for the college.
