Completed in 2019, the Uki City Toyono Town Kyobara Reconstruction Housing and Community House represents a thoughtful approach to post-disaster community revitalization. Designed by architect Kazumi Kudo and Hiroshi Horiba of Coelacanth K&H, this residential complex thoughtfully integrates individual housing units with shared communal spaces. The project demonstrates contemporary Japanese architectural philosophy by balancing private dwellings with facilities designed to foster neighborhood interaction and social cohesion. Located in Uki, Kumamoto Prefecture, this facility serves as both practical housing solution and vital social hub for residents rebuilding their lives.
