Higashimurayama Musashino Certified Childcare Center, completed in 2013, represents a thoughtful approach to early childhood facilities design. Located in Tokyo's Higashimurayama ward, this kindergarten and childcare facility was developed through collaborative efforts of Atelier 9 Architectural Institute, Jacquest Environmental Business, and Motoaki Muramatsu plus Muramatsu Design Office. The project demonstrates how contemporary architectural practice can address the functional and developmental needs of young children while creating an engaging learning environment. The design reflects careful consideration of safety, accessibility, and educational spaces suitable for both preschool and daycare operations.
