Hirata no Minna no Ie is a temporary community facility completed in 2012 in Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture, designed by Masaaki Yamamoto Design Factory. Built as part of post-disaster reconstruction efforts following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, this structure serves as both a social education facility and furnished temporary housing. The building exemplifies thoughtful disaster recovery architecture, combining practical functionality with community-centered design.
