Located in Sawara, Chiba Prefecture, Inae represents a thoughtful approach to historic town revitalization. Completed in 2011, this project by architects Yumi Koori and Toshiya Endo of Studio Sora successfully balances preservation with contemporary function. Serving as both an exhibition space and commercial facility, Inae demonstrates how modern design can respectfully integrate with traditional streetscapes. The building exemplifies sensitive adaptive reuse, breathing new life into Sawara's cherished historic district while maintaining the character that defines this culturally significant area.
