Karita General Hospital, completed in 2002 in Shiraishi, Miyagi Prefecture, represents a significant contemporary healthcare facility designed through collaborative architectural practice. The project brought together four distinguished design firms: Architects Collaborative, Tsunehiro Kitayama plus Architecture Workshop, Hideto Horiike Atelier, and Taro Ashihara Architects Office.
