Hiroshima Prefectural Kureshiminami Special Support School, completed in 2016, represents a thoughtful approach to educational facility design. Located in Kure, this special needs school was developed through collaboration between three design entities: Atelier and I, the Kazushige Sakamoto Laboratory, Design Kyodo-tai, and Endo Architectural Studio. The building demonstrates innovative architectural solutions tailored specifically for students with diverse learning needs. Its design carefully balances functional requirements with a welcoming environment, showcasing contemporary Japanese approaches to inclusive educational architecture.
