Hatanoshita Laboratory is a contemporary industrial facility completed in 2017 in Hiroshima's Aki Ward. Designed by Takushi Nakamura of NAP Architects in collaboration with Daiwa House Industry, this structure ingeniously combines factory, workshop, storage, and commercial functions within a single cohesive design. The building exemplifies modern industrial architecture, merging practical utility with thoughtful spatial planning. Its strategic location along Itsukaichi Port reflects a deliberate integration with its surrounding maritime industrial context. The project demonstrates how contemporary design can enhance functionality while respecting the working landscape of contemporary manufacturing and commerce.
