Mouma is a contemporary residential complex completed in 2021, located in Setagaya, Tokyo. Designed by the innovative architecture firm SALHAUS, this project reimagines the traditional Japanese long house typology for modern urban living. The structure functions as a terrace house and collective housing solution, seamlessly blending communal spaces with private residences. Through thoughtful spatial planning and sensitive design, Mouma demonstrates how historical architectural concepts can be reinterpreted to create vibrant, interconnected communities while maintaining individual privacy and character.
