Goryuzanyama House is a contemporary terrace housing project completed in 2010, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Designed by architect Naoya Kawabe of Kawabe Naoya Architects, this residential development exemplifies modern Japanese urban living solutions. The structure skillfully adapts the traditional Japanese nagaya, or row house typology, to meet contemporary needs and spatial constraints. Through thoughtful design and efficient use of limited urban land, the project demonstrates how classical housing concepts can be reimagined for present-day residents while maintaining sensitivity to the neighborhood's character and architectural heritage.
