Sannomiya Central Street Underground Passage, affectionately known as Sanpochika, is a contemporary underground pedestrian corridor completed in 2022 in Kobe's vibrant Sannomiya district. Designed by Tato Architects, this innovative passage serves as both a functional transit route and an architectural statement, seamlessly connecting the urban streetscape beneath the bustling commercial area. The project exemplifies modern Japanese infrastructure design, blending practical navigation with refined aesthetic sensibilities.
