The Shodoshima Senka Gallery, completed in 2016, represents a thoughtful adaptive reuse project located in the heart of Shodoshima Island in Kagawa Prefecture. Designed collaboratively by PLANET CREATIONS and Masato Sekiya's architectural atelier, this multifunctional space skillfully integrates distribution facilities, exhibition spaces, manufacturing workshops, storage areas, and commercial retail into a cohesive architectural experience. The building demonstrates a sophisticated approach to contemporary design while respecting the island's agricultural heritage, particularly its renowned citrus production. This innovative conversion creates a dynamic cultural and commercial hub that celebrates local craftsmanship and regional identity.
