SOIL SETODA KURA/LIVING is a contemporary hospitality complex completed in 2021 on Setoda Island in Hiroshima Prefecture. Designed by Inao Tomi Horiuchi Architects, this innovative facility seamlessly integrates accommodation, retail, and transportation functions. The project thoughtfully revitalizes the island's historic character while introducing modern architectural sensibilities. By combining lodging spaces with commercial areas and transit facilities, the building creates a multifunctional hub that enhances visitor experience. The architecture reflects a sensitive approach to contextual design, respecting the region's cultural heritage while establishing a welcoming gateway for contemporary travelers exploring the scenic Seto Inland Sea area.
