Todoromi no Mori Gakuen is an integrated elementary and junior high school located in Minoh City, Osaka, completed in 2008. Designed by Alpak Regional Planning and Architecture Research Institute in collaboration with Kazuhiro Kojima and Yoshuko Akamatsu of CAT, this educational facility exemplifies contemporary Japanese school architecture. The project thoughtfully integrates natural woodland surroundings with modern pedagogical spaces, creating an environment that fosters both academic learning and connection with nature. The design reflects innovative approaches to shared educational spaces while maintaining distinct functional zones for different age groups, making it a notable example of 21st-century institutional architecture in Japan.
