Tomigaya Commons is a contemporary residential complex completed in 2020, located in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo. Designed by the innovative architecture firm AWN, this project represents a thoughtful approach to urban living through its rowhouse and terrace house typology. The building exemplifies modern collective housing design, seamlessly integrating multiple dwelling units while maintaining individual character and spatial quality. Situated in the vibrant Tomigaya neighborhood, the Commons demonstrates how traditional Japanese housing forms can be reinterpreted for contemporary communities, offering residents a balanced experience between private comfort and shared community spaces.
