Warashi is an experimental exchange workshop located in Aridagawa Town, Wakayama Prefecture, completed in 2011. Designed by R Planning and Tomitsune Honda in collaboration with Wakayama University, this social education facility features a distinctive architectural concept centered around a cluster of small roofs. The design creates an inviting community space that encourages interaction and learning experiences. The building exemplifies contemporary Japanese architecture that seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetic sensitivity, making it an excellent example of how educational facilities can be thoughtfully designed to foster engagement and cultural exchange within local communities.
