The Yamanashi Prefectural Fujiyusui no Sato Aquarium, completed in 2000, showcases a remarkable blend of contemporary design and natural integration. Located in Oshino Village near Mount Fuji, this facility combines an aquarium and botanical garden in a single architectural statement. Designed by Tripod Architects alongside architects Makoto Yuzawa and Kuniyomaro Iida, the building demonstrates thoughtful spatial planning that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape.
