"Yomu Danchi" J Verde Otayada is a contemporary residential complex completed in 2019 in Adachi Ward, Tokyo. This innovative housing project reimagines the traditional Japanese danchi (apartment complex) concept through a collaborative design approach. Created by FUN STUDIO, Tsubame-sha Architectural Design, Minobe Architectural Design Office, and Nippon Sogo Jusetsu, the development features a series of interconnected townhouses and terrace houses that foster community interaction. The architecture skillfully balances modern living standards with the walkable, neighborly atmosphere characteristic of mid-century housing developments, making it an exemplary model of contemporary residential design in urban Japan.
