The Zushi City First Sports Park Redevelopment represents a thoughtful renovation of public recreational space in Kanagawa Prefecture. Completed in 2014, this social education facility was masterfully redesigned by the collaborative efforts of Reusing Landscape Architects and Ito Hiroshi Atelier. Located in the Ikego district, the project demonstrates contemporary landscape architecture principles while respecting the site's existing context. The redevelopment successfully integrates recreational facilities with natural surroundings, creating an inviting public space that serves the local community. This work exemplifies how sensitive urban design can enhance quality of life and strengthen community engagement through thoughtfully planned recreational infrastructure.
